I am an undergraduate student at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, USA. I am double-majoring in International Relations and Hispanic Studies. From there, I plan on attending a one-year graduate program in Spain to obtain a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
All throughout my life, Europe has enchanted me — as a place to travel, as a place to study, and as a place to work. In pursuit of better understanding this complex region, I have focused primarily on European affairs in my studies, including but not limited to the politics of the European Union and the economics of the Eurozone. John Maynard Keynes’ work, while certainly not perfect, stands resolutely as the most pragmatic and efficient method to remedy the European fiscal crisis and elaborates on various crucial points such as state sovereignty and the necessity of the welfare state.
In the spring of 2018, I will be studying abroad at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain. This incredibly unique opportunity to garner tangible experience working in the area will allow me to establish a solidified foundation to which I can hopefully revisit for graduate school and as I start my career.
